Deserts are ALIVE!

Deserts are dry and arid.
Life can feel that way too.
I just returned from a trip to Tucson, AZ and got to spend time in the Sonoran Desert. I lived here almost 30 years ago for a short time and I truly enjoyed being in this area once again.
What I truly observed was the beauty that is everywhere all around even in the dry heat of 100+ degrees!
First off, the cactus are blooming. Yes, blooming! I saw Barrel, Saguaro, Prickly Pear, and Cholla cactus blooming. I saw multiple bushed and trees in bloom as well.
I saw the fruits of the cactus forming.
I saw the birds, the lizards, the bugs, and even a snake out and about.
The desert is ALIVE! There was so much abundance and nature to see and take in that I realized that even during the dry spells in our life, there is still life that exists and be celebrated.
It just felt good to be back. The evenings are so comfortable to sit outside. The mountains were magnificent to see. And the desert bloom is just amazing.
What a magnificent time to visit!
