Consumer or Creator?

This is a great question.

Are you a consumer or a creator?

For a long time I was a consumer. I read so many books. Took many courses and certifications. Watched endless hours of YouTube videos...

And then I was called to go inward. I was called to witness where my energy was going. Was it in alignment with what I want or is it leaking and unavailable to me?

Here is what I did.

I pulled myself out of group chats. I closed my own group chat that didn't feel aligned anymore. I left Facebook groups. I unsubscribed from email lists. I removed the Facebook and Instagram App from my home screen. I even listened to my intuition that it was time to step away from the group mentorship I had been in for a while. All of these were siphoning my energy in the background. Like those computer programs that just go on behind the scenes.

I stopped scrolling.

And you what happened after that?

I had a tantrum! Now what do I do with my time? I am bored!

And that is when I shifted into creator mode.

I can't build the life I love if I am constantly sending energy in all these different directions. It was time to bring it back home and consciously choose where it was going to go.

So, I did a thing. I signed up for a business mentorship where I can walk step by step through creating a business from the very beginning and create it in my authentic way.

It's been a bit of a challenge for me to come through all of the fears and limitations that were in the way of really owning my path forward. I had to shed the shit. I had to learn new habits. I had to make new commitments. I had to surround myself with different people. I had to go from 9-5 paid by the hour to something more like paid by the project. I even released Idea Allergies!!

Now I am officially a creator.

I have started my very own YouTube channel.

I am creating the remote work that works in support of the gridwork I am enjoying doing. It is fun and frankly comes easily and naturally.

Clearing a resetting energy in people, places, and spaces. I am excited for what is going to be created next.

There is this thing I keep saying and it sounds pretty fun...Grid Girl Empire!

The only way to build it is to start creating.

I am blocking out a lot of the noise right now. It is a distraction. And if you feel that you are here for a higher calling, then I would invite you to start looking at where is your energy going and what are you consuming. Because that could be just the thing to clear the decks and get you on your way.
